Maryanne
Sakai-James -
I'm "da Mama". I was born in Tampa, FL but
raised (and lived pretty much my whole life until 1998) in Hawaii. I don't
think there was a day in my life I didn't wish I had a camera handy. So much
beauty surrounded me! I think I yearned for the camera because I love to
share things that please me. Since marrying the best Canadian, Terry James,
and moving to the Pacific Northwest in 1998 that yearning was even stronger
because children, grandson and most of my friends were so far away ... and I
really wanted them to be able to see and understand why I love it here!
I accept wedding, commercial, portrait, events
and web site development assignments. If you would like to
schedule an appointment, please book early as my schedule fills up fairly rapidly! |

Suzanne Sakai -
My #1 child and only daughter, mother of
the absolute best grandson, (hmmm ... sounds like I'm a proud parent,
doesn't it?!) is a teacher's aide on Kauai and attending
college to get her teaching certificate. A very busy lady! This past year
she got into photography as well and we were all surprised to find what a great eye
she has for composition. Check out her Haleakala shots and the Kauai landscape images. She is GOOD! |

Cayce Almasin -
my youngest, a musician & an artist. In April of 2004 I went home to
Maui & I think the best part of the trip was going out with him on
camera safaris. He with his camcorder and I with my dSLR. Great fun and a real learning experience for me. This guy is
smart. Like his mother, he likes to get those close up, detail shots.
He is lyricist, lead guitarist and lead vocalist
with the Maui based metal band, Khrinj. If you're into metal music and plant
to visit Maui ask around to see if there is a Khrinj concert scheduled ... .
